IdentificationDaydream wolfonflies are the smallest type of wolfonfly. Small, as in, that line art is life sized They, unlike the Lucid, Recurring, Epic and Mutual, have unique line art. They resemble a wolf with simplified dragonfly wings and antenna. If you have a wolfonfly that looks like the one at the top of this post, it's a Daydream.

Stages and Behaviour
Yet another kind of wolfonfly. It makes one wonder how many there are out there, how so many could completely escape our notice at first, and why they all seem to want to be our pets...
Some people are convinced that Daydream wolfonflies aren't real wolfonflies at all, but some odd form of bug found only around the lake. After all, antenna, wolf tails? Those just aren't found on most wolfonflies, and certainly not as the norm for them. In fact, is there anything dragonfly like about them? The wings look sort of like a dragonfly's, but where did the antenna come from? Where are the huge eyes and dragonfly tail?
And besides that... they don't grow, they don't change. They just stay the same. And they don't bark either, they simply buzz their tiny wings together to create a frequency that most humans can't hear, but which they, and normal sized wolfonflies, seem to be able to interpret.
So what is the evidence for them being real wolfonflies? Well, normal sized wolfonflies, who love to eat bugs, will never eat a Daydream wolfonfly. They also seem to be able to communicate with each other, a Daydream wolfonfly can understand a different type of wolfonfly's barks, and a wolfonfly can understand their wing buzzing.
But the one thing that is on the side of those who think they are wolfonflies is that if fed a wolfonfly breeding potion, specially designed only for wolfonflies, they too, can breed.
Did I mention they have genders, too? While other wolfonflies for the most part are thought of as genderless (though people tend to give a gender to their individual ones) Daydream wolfonflies have slightly different line art. (to venture out of the world of wolfonflies and into the more technical format of them for a few seconds) Females face the right while males face the left, and only opposite gender wolfonflies can breed together. The line art is also life size, which means in the game world, they can perch on your fingers. Be careful not to accidentally crush one.
In the wild, they live in... I suppose you could call them packs, but it is more like an insect swarm. Each swarm has Daydream wolfonflies that look pretty much identical to each other, colour, gender, and where their white markings are. There are hundreds of swarms in existence, which means hundreds of different daydream wolfonflies to collect.

BreedingJust like Lucids and Recurrings, Daydreams need a breeding potion to be able to breed. They can also only breed to other Daydreams, and the two must be opposite genders from each other. Two pup potions and other things work on Daydreams as well. Simply go here and follow the instructions. wolfonflies.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=bc&action=display&thread=146
