How to Identify a LucidLucids are, theoretically, the most common wolfonflies. They were the first kind of wolfonfly ever created, and also have the most forms out of any kind of wolfonfly. At the time of writing this, there were over three hundred different lucids to collect. Lucids are mostly identified by their three pairs of legs, however other wolfonflies can also have this trait. When identifying a Lucid, first look for the three pairs of legs. Next look to see if it has the Mutual bracelet on its left front ankle. If it has this bracelet, than it is a Mutual and not a Lucid. If it doesn't have the bracelet, look at the design. Is it very complicated and something that couldn't be done on MS paint? If it is, then it is an Epic, and not a Lucid. Of course, the easiest way to make sure your pet is a Lucid is to adopt a Lucid egg. All wolfonflies that come out of the Lucid eggs, and each form of said wolfonflies, are Lucids. However, this does not apply to all Lucids. Lucids can also be found in explore and in event adoptables such as Halloween bags and Chirstmas presents. If you still don't know if your wolfonfly is a Lucid or not, and want to know, ask me. I know what type each wolfonfly is.

Stages and Common BehaviourLucid wolfonflies go through four stages. The stages are egg, blob, pup and adult. The colour changes after they reach adult stage are considered to be forms and not stages. Lucid eggs are quite small, but also have quite a hard shell. They have to because people often wade into the lake looking for them, and end up stepping on a bunch of them as they do so. They can be found floating on the top of the lake or on the lake's bottom. Be sure to put the ones you collect in water. A fish tank with the lid off of it will do nicely. Lucid eggs do not hatch if they aren't in water. The second stage of the Lucids is... a blob. Not much bigger than the egg, and often mistaken as algae by their owners and scooped out of the tank, the blob form isn't really that interesting. Think of lava lamps. That's sort of what the blob form is like, constantly moving and shifting shape. No one knows why Lucids have a blob form, but they do. It is highly suggested that you make sure to not accidentally scoop out a blob with your algae when cleaning your tank. Oh, and they don't need to eat, so no need to feed them in this stage. No, your Lucid did NOT die when it becomes this stage. The pup form is extremely cute. They are tiny, about the size of a newborn kitten, and no longer need to be in water to survive. They do still like the water though, so make sure to let them still have access to the tank, or build a swimming pool for them or something. Their wings are so small that they can't yet fly with them, but this doesn't stop them from trying to. They enjoy jumping off of high surfaces, so make sure to watch them carefully. In personality, they are most like a puppy, and you should try to train them at this stage, it's the easiest time to do so. They are carnivores, but prefer to eat bugs most of all, like their dragonfly part. Live crickets are their favourite food. Adult Lucids vary in size, from the size of a small dog to that of a wolf. Generally, the older they get, the larger they become. Adults like their freedom. They love being let out to skim over the lake and eat the bugs on the surface of it, with the occasional fish thrown in. Their wings are now long and strong, and they spend at least half of their time in the air. If properly trained as a pup, they are also very loyal, and will come when called, learn tricks, etc. Think of them like your pet dog, but don't forget the dragonfly aspect to them. They are, of course, not dogs combined with dragonflies, but wolves, and so have some wolfish habits as well. They howl, for one, and tend to form packs made up of their owner's wolfonflies, or others that they meet while out by the lake. If you let them roam freely, you don't need to feed them, as they'll hunt for themselves, but if you want to keep them indoors, you should continue feeding them live crickets, fish, and a bit of cooked chicken every once in awhile. Lucids can NOT talk to their owners. They can talk to other wolfonflies, besides Nightmares, however.

How to BreedBreeding Lucids is quite easy, however it does take a bit of work. Lucids require a breeding potion to be bred. Breeding potions are 500 Skim Bucks in the shop. Once you have the breeding potion, you simply pick out your Lucids to breed. A little known fact is that Lucids are actually genderless, although most owners call them male or female. This means that any two Lucids can breed. Inbreeding does nothing, so if you accidentally inbreed, it's alright. Lucids can also breed with Recurrings, however the offspring that results will always be a Lucid. Lucids have one pup per breeding unless a potion that increases how many pups they have each time they're bred is used. Pups are completely unique. Once you have that, simply go here and follow the instructions. wolfonflies.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=bc&action=display&thread=144Also, freeze your Lucids before breeding them, because you don't want them changing form between the time you request them for breeding and when I get around to making the offspring... And, that's it ^.^

Misc Information
Just random information that didn't fit in any category, in no particular order. Some of it is useful, other parts simply interesting. It might be organized if I can find categories for it.
The colour of a Lucid egg in the shop gives you some idea of what its blob, pup, and first adult form will look like. They will have the base colour of that shade at any rate.
Blobs don't give a very good indication of what the Lucid will eventually look like. They tend to just be brighter shades of the egg colour.
Pups usually have all the markings of their first adult form, as well as the base colour of them. However the markings are just different shades of their base colour and not the colours they wll be in their first adult form.
Lucids change form every ten clicks after they reach adult stage. They often change drastically in colour and pattern, with the previous form having no influence on the next.
In order to collect different forms of wolfonflies, you must freeze them. You can unfreeze them and continue to have them change form whenever you want.
Lucids are also the only wolfonflies that can have line art changes. They may have cat tails or wolf tails or horse hooves, or no ears. The only thing that cannot change is how their wings look and how many legs they have.
Lucids are also often based off of actual things. Thought goes into them. Often they are based off of animals, designs I've used on other adoptables, and just whatever comes to mind that day.
Each Lucid egg has (or will have, some aren't complete yet) 100 levels.
Offspring Lucids and Lucids that do not come from the Lucid eggs will likely only grow to adult and then not change form, or be adopted as adults.
They are called Lucids because out of all the wolfonflies, we can control their growth the most, stopping them at the adult form we want them to be at. Lucid dreaming is where you can control your dreams.
They stayed in the shop when the Nightmares arrived because we wanted them to, and out of all the wolfonflies, they feel the most attached to humans. If we want them to do something, they usually will.
Each Lucid egg has two outcomes. That is to say, they can hatch and then grow up one of two ways. One way is usually rarer than the other. This varies between eggs.
Lucids are formed from the Creator's regular dreams, that's why there's so many different forms of them. Their formation has nothing to do with Lucid dreams, they are simply called Lucid because of how much they depend on humans, and allow themselves to be controlled by them.
Lucids, can wag their tails. Their tails are made of a weird segment type like a dragonfly's tail, but flexible, like the kind of bone found in a cat's tail. Over this is a thin layer of flesh. Those lines you see on the tail are the outlines of the segments. They usually carry their tails upright, and in what looks like a rather stiff position, but it's comfortable to them. Recurrings tails are the same way, by the way.

Tips on Collecting LucidsLucid wolfonflies are the easiest to collect. Strangely however, they tend to be put into the Pound less often, and so you'll likely have to adopt them straight from the shop if you want them. Since they are always available, I suggest collecting them slowly, adopting one egg at a time, freezing it when it becomes the form you want it at, and then adopting another one. I also suggest that you begin your collection from the maximum levels down, as this will allow you to see all the forms for a Lucid and helps you to know which outcome you have at any given form. As well, as people tend to let their Lucids get too many clicks when they first join, going for the maximum levels first means that even if you do leave them on a click exchange overnight by accident, they aren't going to get too many clicks for the form you want them to be. Which comes to this helpful bit of advice. Unless you're leveling to the maximum form, always freeze your Lucid when you're offline. This way it won't get any more clicks while you're away and possibly pass the form you want it to be. And, as the eggs go up in number, it becomes harder to get all the forms for them. Lucid1 has a 50% chance of getting one outcome or the other, but as the numbers on the eggs go up, collecting each form of them becomes more difficult. Pro Tip This is the click exchange site I use for leveling wolfonflies fast Click me!

Freezing
Freezing a Wolfonfly stops it from changing form. This means that if you want to freeze an adult wolfonfly, it should be a Lucid, as once the others become an adult, they stop leveling. As well, it is considered good manners to unfreeze your Lucid if you add an item to it, as adding an item also causes a wolfonfly to stop changing form. It is considered polite because people can now click on that wolfonfly and earn Skim Bucks for giving it clicks. So, with freezing a wolfonfly, the general rule is, freeze when you need to, and nothing else.
It is also considered good manners to freeze your wolfonfly before giving it to the Pound if it can still change stage or form. This allows people to get what they see, so to speak. It means that if a person sees a Wolfonfly in the Pound that they want, and PMs me about it, when I get around to sending them that Wolfonfly they will still get what they saw before, and not one that has changed stage or form in that time.
