(OOC: Adacari's intro Also... I don't have much muse, so the posts might be short...) Again, again this Star-girl whom she had yet to meet had challenged her. Would she show up this time? Only time would tell. Adacari stood in the middle of the area eyes fixed on the far entrance, waiting for her challenger and her wolfonfly to appear.

A wolfdog came walking into the arena with a bright, rainbow coloured wolfonfly beside her. The wolfdog, Star, nodded at Adacari and stepped back. "Do your best, Rain.." The rainbow wolfonfly nodded and stepped forward, glaring at Adacari

(OOC: Adacari's first attack, you decide if it hits)
"So you came this time." Adacari said a bit lazily. She didn't exactly dislike the girl who called herself Star, but she was just frustrated at the world in general now. Without waiting for a reply, she suddenly leaped at the colourful Wolfonfly, hoping to land on it and stun it.

Rain ducked and rolled out of the way, yelping though as one of his legs was struck, yet he didn't think much of it after one glance at Star before leaping up and biting down on one of Adacari's legs. Star watched emotionlessly as Rain held on, yet in her mind it was racing with emotions. Rain could apparently sense that as he bit down harder

(OOC: Adacair's second attack, you decide if it hits or not)
Adacari shook her head slightly as he bit down on her legs. Silly Wolfonflies, they always went for her legs. In reality, they were likely the strongest part of her, they were certainly the hardest, cased in tough exoskeleton-like skin. His teeth were pinpricks, nothing more than the biting of insects. Ironic, as one would refer to her as an insect before him. As long as she had him there though... She lifted her leg and stomped down, hoping to dislodge him. If she succeeded, then she would stomp down again, hopefully trapping him beneath it.

Rain held on tightly as she stomped, yet afterwards without warning he quickly leaped down and leaped up to bite down on neck. He was determined to do his best, no matter the result. Star continued watching, her expression clearly showing worry and fear for her wolfonfly, yet she still said nothing.

(OOC: Rainrare has won! Your prizes will be put into your account shortly. You may make one more post if you want to.) Adacari wasn't expecting this. Most wolfonflies stayed as far away from her tongue as possible, because once she had them in it, it was usually all over. Somehow though, Rain got lucky and managed to latch on just under her chin, to where her acid bearing tongue couldn't reach him. He couldn't break the skin with his teeth, but he had them around her trachea, and was squeezing down on it, cutting off her air. Black flecks swam in front of her vision as she staggered around, desperately trying to throw him off. Finally, her legs gave out and for the first time, Adacari fell in battle. The fall managed to dislodge Rain, and she lay there, gasping for breath and looking at the owner and wolfonfly. Then, quite abruptly, she let out a laugh. "Good show, Star." She wheezed out, and then slowly rolled over onto her knees. "You win. I've never seen a wolfonfly that could actually take me down, well done." She didn't seem angry at all, on the contrary... she seemed almost happy that she had lost! She took in one deep breath, and then pushed herself all the way to standing. "Wait here while I get your prizes." She said, and walked away. She came back shortly with the first of her prizes, the flowery Recurring, clutched tightly in her tail. Duke, was his name, and she would have loved to sink her teeth into him for the damage he had caused her in their fight. But alas, that was not to be. Or, not now. Perhaps she would get another chance to battle Duke. She tossed him at Star's feet, not particularly caring if she injured him or not, and went back for the other one. The next one she brought out clutched, perhaps not as tightly in her tail, and she laid him relatively gently beside Duke. She had no reason to be angry with this one. How Star planned to get them home was a matter that Adacari didn't care about. "The venom will wear off in around an hour. She said over her shoulder, before disappearing down the hallway she had just come out of.

Surprise was the only thing that could explain Star's reaction when Adacari wen't down, but she smiled none the less upon hearing Rain won. Rain dashed over and sat beside Star while waited for the prizes. Shortly after Adacari had set them down, Star wen't over and lifted Casino up easily. Rain managed to get Duke on his back somehow and they both left silently.
