(Adacari intro post. As well, assume that you and Adacari are the only ones here and that Tiger's battle took place at a different time.) The huge Nightmare walked into the amphitheater, her steps springy and light. Adacari was in a good mood after eating, and was ready to battle. She stretched quickly, rolled her tail up, and practiced a few of her signature attacks against imaginary prey as she waited for her challenger to arrive.

The clicking of claws could be faintly heard as an older Recurring made his way towards the Amphitheater. Even though he knew what the future might hold for him, he did not quake. He did not whimper. He did not show any sign that he was afraid. No, all that was in him was determination. Although he was not too confident, for the odds seemed against him, he did not allow this to mess with his mind, which he had kept so clear of. The Recurring, called Duke, was not alone, however, as his owner, what seemed to be a mix between a dragon and a wolf but no bigger than a wolf, walked beside him. She too, was determined, but for a different reason. She was driven here by the Kitsune Lucid, which she had always heard of, but never seen until she had looked at what Adacari had to offer for prizes. If she won, the Kitsune was hers, and it would never nag at her again. If she lost, then she could try again if another one became available. The two slowly walked into the amphitheater, both gazing at Adacari. Duke's neck fur bristled slightly, not in fear, but in determination.

(OOC: Adacari's first attack, you decide if it hits or not)
No greeting. Well, she didn't quite expect one from the owner of a Wolfonfly that she very well might take and eat from them. No matter, they were here to fight, not exchange pleasantries. She eyed her opponent with a slight frown on her face. No extra legs to munch on, that infernal hard tail, and he looked like his meat would be tough. Well, he would still be better than some of the stuff she had caught in the dream world back before she had decided to battle humans for their wolfonflies.
Silently, with no warning at all, she rushed forward, mouth lowered and needle sharp teeth ready to bite down on the Recurring.

(Duke's first counter attack)
The owner, Dragon, leaped to the side as Duke made a well placed leap just before Adacari could strike him. Although older than most, he seemed to be a more experienced fighter than the other Wolfonflies that had come through here. Twisting his body in mid air, and also using his wings to give him better speed and mobility in the air, he dived the very short distance down towards one of his opponent's eyes, mouth wide open and teeth ready to sink down into the compound eye.

(OOC: Adacari's second attack, you decide if it hits or not)
Adacari literally roared with pain as his attack hit, rattling the seats high up above where they were fighting. She shook her head, trying to fling Duke off of her, while at the same time reaching for him with her acid filled tongue in case he managed to hang on.

Duke had meanwhile tried raking his claws against Adacari's other eye, and had not seen the tongue coming. When he did feel it though, the sting and burn of the acid, he bit down harder into the eye before letting go and jumping off.
The damage was apparent on his shoulder, but he growled at Adacari without giving further indication that it hurt.

(OOC: Duke has lost. Better luck next time. You may reply once more if you like)
Half blinded with rage and pain, Adacari snapped her teeth together near the ground, and was surprised when she felt Duke in them. She raised her head in triumph, bit down once, hard, and then transferred him to her tail. Her tongue went up to her eye, and she felt the acid begin to sooth it. She would be fine for her next battle. The acid that harmed her opponent would heal her, a fact that she had discovered quite by accident. "Better luck next time." She managed to growl at Dragon before she walked off down a tunnel and out of the amphitheater to toss Duke into the prize cage.
