This is going to be an informal essay/advice essay. I don't know, I had muse to write, so that's what I'm doing pretty much XD Maybe... it will have two parts... Bleh, just going to write and see what happens XD
Now then, wolfonflies need clicks to grow, particularly the Lucids. In some cases, they may need as much as 1000 clicks to reach a form you want them at. Now, obviously, you want your wolfonfly to reach its final form before a year has gone by. That's right, I said a year. If your wolfonfly only got one click a day, it would take 1000 days for it to reach its final form, or more than two years
So, this essay will be in two parts. Why you should click others wolfonflies, and how to get clicks for your own. They won't be labeled as such because they tend to overlap quite a lot.
Now then, I click each and every growing wolfonfly each and every day, or at least I try to. Some days I don't have enough time, or I'm busy, etc. In fact, I usually click each one three times. I use the Pound and Event accounts to click as well. It doesn't take me long, about 20 minutes each account. This gives each growing wolfonfly three clicks.
Now, let's say you have a lucid egg, and you want it to grow to its final form. If you relied on my clickthroughs each day, and only my clickthroughs, it would be 334 days before it reached that, almost a year!
So... how do you get more clicks? Well, first off, you could click on your own wolfonflies every day. That would bring it down to 250 days for it to reach 1000 clicks. That still seems like an awful lot of time to wait though.
Another thing you can do is start doing your own clickthrorughs, or even whenever you need more Skim Bucks, only click the growing wolfonflies instead of the ones at their final form. Seriously, not only will this help other people's wolfonflies to grow, but they'll repay you for your generosity by clicking your own.
Plus, you get Skim Bucks for clicking wolfonflies. You sort of need to click if you want anything in this game, so why not help people out by clicking their still growing wolfonflies?
Now, you may be wondering. What wolfonflies would still be growing? Well, I can tell you what wouldn't be. Hatched Nightmares, adult Recurrings, all Epics, Mutuals, and Daydreams, plus items. They don't benefit at all from you clicking them. I, personally, don't click them at all. There's plenty of wolfonflies who do need my clicks, so I don't waste my time on the others.
It certainly doesn't hurt you to only click on wolfonflies that need it. Look at my Skim Buck count if you don't believe me XD All from clicking on things that aren't at their final level or frozen.
Of course, now we come to another topic that may stop people from clicking on wolfonflies that need it. How can you tell if a wolfonfly is frozen? Well, the truth is, you can't. During your first few clickthroughs it will be trial and error, but you'll eventually know which of a user's wolfonflies to click on. Really, I likely know what's frozen and what's not better than some people who own the wolfonflies I'm clicking on XD As well, generally eggs and blobs aren't frozen. Pups sometimes are, and you'll have to use trial and error to find out which owners have frozen pups.
For adult Lucids? Trial and error, although usually the ones near the bottom of the page aren't frozen and the ones near the top are.
So, we have my clicks, your clicks, and a few other members' clicks for your hypothetical Lucid egg. That still won't get you to that 1000 clicks within any reasonable span of time.
Another quick and easy way to get clicks is just to post your wolfonfly in your signature or page description on another site, or several other sites. Then people who are members on those other sites can click on them. Not only that, but getting clicks for your wolfonflies in this way is a form of advertisement, which brings in more members, members who may become a regular clicker of that lucid.
So, in essence, using this method to get clicks helps both the site as a whole, and your own personal wolfonfly that you want to grow. Now the time for it to grow is starting to look a bit more promising.
This is where most members stop. They click others, others click their's, and they have a few wolfonflies in their signitures on other forums or whatnot.
But, for those that don't want to wait months, or even weeks, there is yet another method of gaining clicks. A click exchange site.
A click exchange site is quite simple. In order to get clicks, you click on other adoptables. Each click earns you a credit. When someone clicks on your adoptable, you lose a credit. If you lose all your credits, your adoptable no longer gets clicks. So, you have to give clicks in order to get them. It usually takes awhile to get established on a click site, with enough credits for people to begin clicking your adoptable, but it's well worth it. You can get those 1000 clicks in three days instead of three years.
Click sites come with their own problems though. If you're only leveling a wolfonfly up to a specific form, it can easily go over it with the volume of clicks pouring in. Or you could forget to take your wolfonfly off when its leveled and frozen, and people will continue to click, wasting all your credits.
I myself use click sites to level my wolfonflies. I adopt one wolfonfly at a time, drop it on the click exchange I belong to, and watch it level.
Don't want to join a click site yourself? Well, there's aap thread for that XD wolfonflies.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=wolftrade&action=display&thread=62 For a very small fee, or even for free. I'll drop a wolfonfly of your choice onto the click exchange I belong to and level it for you.
Here's the click exchange I use by the way.

And that, is the end of my rather suddenly thought out essay. I hope you enjoyed reading it, and that you learned something from it. After all, none of us wants to wait years for their wolfonfly to level.
